Housing Options That Fit Your Needs
Methodist Homes of Alabama & Northwest Florida offers six affordable housing communities across Alabama and Florida. These communities are designed to provide safe, stable and professionally managed residences for qualified residents within welcoming environments that encourage connection and independence. All affordable housing communities are independent and residential in nature, and do not include licensed health care services. As part of our nonprofit organization, all affordable housing communities are thoughtfully managed and guided by the same commitment and responsible oversight that shapes our senior living communities.
Income-Based Housing
Three of our communities are income-based, meaning monthly rent is calculated according to each resident’s individual income.
Rent-Restricted Housing
Three additional communities are rent-restricted, with monthly rent set based on a percentage of the area’s income levels.
Community Features
While amenities vary by location, they typically include:
- Private apartment residences
- Community gathering spaces
- On-site management
- Maintenance services
- Access to supportive resources when available
Eligibility and Application
Eligibility requirements, rent structures and application procedures vary by community. Prospective residents are encouraged to contact the individual property directly to learn more about income qualifications, availability and the application process.
Faith-Based Affordable Housing Locations
The Epworth House
The Epworth House offers 48 income-based apartment residences in Selma. The Community provides professionally managed housing in an environment grounded in respect and service. Residency is available to those who meet established age and income qualifications.
Wesley Acres
Wesley Acres and Wesley Acres II provide 120 income-based apartment residences in Decatur. These communities provide well-maintained housing for qualifying residents who meet established age and income requirements.
Wesley Apartments
Wesley Apartments offers 68 income-based residences for qualifying adults in Anniston. Guided by responsible stewardship, the community provides dependable housing within a professionally operated setting.
Wesley Glen
Located adjacent to Wesley Acres, Wesley Glen offers 55 rent-restricted apartment residences in Decatur. Rent is structured according to established income guidelines.
Wesley Park
Wesley Park Apartments provides 56 rent-restricted residences in Anniston. This community offers professionally managed housing for those who meet established age and income qualifications.
Wesley Scott Place
Wesley Scott Place offers 40 rent-restricted apartment residences for qualifying residents within a community setting. Residency is limited to individuals who meet age and income eligibility requirements.
